My FAVORITE Boston wellness self-care spots!

Hi friends! Today I'm back with a Boston "little black book" post to touch on the places I go when I need some pampering/self-care in this busy city.  I love each and every one of these places SO incredibly much, and I can't keep all this goodness to myself.  Let's get into it!

Facial: Noel Herbal Skincare Last year, I got a couple of facials in the Boston area -- BUT after I had my toxic ingredient revelation (and completely reevaluated my entire makeup and skincare stash!), I realized that the products that were being used during my treatments didn't sit well with me anymore. Enter - Noel Herbal Skincare. If you are looking for an all-natural, green beauty facial in Boston, this is your place! I had such a wonderful and peaceful experience, and I can't wait to go back!  The photo above was taken in her beautiful retail space.  As a sidetone, if you are interested in learning more and just diving into wellness in general a bit more, The Wellness Project by Pheobe Lapine is an amazing place to start - it's a book that really kicked off my own personal wellness journey.

Spray Tan: Aglow Spray Tanning This past summer, I haven't had a beach vaca or too much of an opportunity to get a natural sun-kissed glow, so I've been relying on Aglow Spray Tanning to get a good (faux) tan for the summer months. The spray tan is so quick and easy, such a natural color, and also is sugar-based. I find that it lasts a sold week and a half for me before I need to exfoliate.  I'm hooked! I usually head to the Bedford location, which is a short drive away (with easy parking!)

Mani/Pedi: MiniLuxe I absolutely LOVE MiniLuxe.  It's definitely a little bit pricier than other spots in the city, but their commitment to cleanliness (from the stations, to the ingredients in their polish) is lightyears ahead of others. The performance polish lasts at LEAST a week and a half on me (my nails grow pretty fast, so I have to take it off at the point!) and just looks so much better than what I do myself. There are SO many locations around the city, and they all have the same commitment to quality. Highly recommend!

Hair Cut/Color: Taylor Surette While I've been overhauling most of my daily wellness routine to be more non-toxic, I just can't give up my blonde highlights. Taylor is the absolute BEST for gorgeous blonde color. Located right in Somerville in a co-working spot, I so look forward to my appointments with Taylor talking about the best new Netflix shows and podcasts.  She is truly an artist and I always feel like a million bucks after an appointment with her.  I find that I can go around 4-6 months between appointments because her balayage is so natural.

Brows: Sarra While I haven't been the best at maintaining my brows recently (I'm kind of enjoying the more natural look, what can I say?), I highly recommend Sarra for any brow woes that you may be struggling with.  Jojo helped me to work through growing mine out from over-plucking in the past, and shaped them beautifully for my wedding (that shows how much I trust her!) They also offer makeup application lessons, and the ladies working there are all so sweet and amazing.

Massage/Soak: Inman Square Oasis While I've only been here once, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I absolutely love Inman Square - I feel like it's a little secret in Boston that not many people know about and the Inman Square Oasis feels truly like an Oasis.  I got a massage and did a soak while I was there, and I thoroughly enjoyed each minute.  It's reasonable pricing in the big city - add it to your list!

Acupuncture: Root + Sky I mentioned in a previous post, but Root + Sky located in East Boston is a heavenly escape from the craziness of the week.  I so thoroughly enjoyed my appointment (I almost fell asleep!) and the studio is SO serene. Stef is incredible and will walk you through any hesitations that you may have about the process.  The also offer massage and reiki - super amazing!

Yoga: Samara Yoga Studio One way I practice self-care when life gets hectic is through yoga.  I absolutely love Samara Yoga in Davis Square - I tend to go on Sunday's to start my day off right.  I think that their pricing is reasonable (especially the first time you go in - unlimited for a week for $25!) and the classes always leave me feeling stretched and relaxed.

Do you have any local Boston self-care establishments that you LOVE? I SO want to know in the comments below!
